University of Strathclyde victorious once more at UK Tata Crucible 2011

The team of Anup Nair and Michael Doroszenko from The University of Strathclyde emerged as champions for the second year in a row at the 4th annual UK Tata Crucible Campus Quiz.

The pair from Strathclyde impressed the audience and Quiz Master 'Pickbrain' with a convincing win, whilst second place was closely contested for by ESCP Europe's London campus and London Business School, the former's high-risk tactics paying off in the end.

The event, which was held at the Institute of Engineering and Technology on 20th November, united some of the UK's sharpest young minds in a business quiz designed to test their speed of thought and lateral thinking.

Dr Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover, addressed the audience and emphasised the crucial role that young talent can play in the growth of UK industry.

This year's chief guest was Jo Johnson, MP for Orpington and former India Bureau chief for the Financial Times.

This year's quiz saw participation from over 20 top UK universities, including London Business School, London School of Economics, Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, Warwick, University College London, Aston, Nottingham, Loughborough and Bath.
