Launch of Tata Idea Idol 2012

Tata Idea Idol 2012, the flagship competition of the Oxford Entrepreneurs society, was launched on 1st December by Will Chadwick of Tata Interactive at Said Business School.

Students at the launch event also heard from Stuart Miller, CEO and co-founder of ByBox, and Benjamin Barokas, current president and co-founder of AdMeld.

Tata Idea Idol is a competition designed to give students the opportunity to showcase and test their innovative business ideas. Students will now submit their ideas to the Oxford Entrepreneurs society, and six of these will be selected for a live competition which will take place in spring 2012.

At the live competition, a representative from each finalist business will deliver a two-minute "elevator pitch" to convince a panel of four judges to choose their business plan as the most likely to succeed. Up to £10,000 in prize money is awarded each year.
